Responsibilities
Designing switchgear control systems and metering circuits to meet specific customer application requirements using S&C automation products
Designing panel layouts, wire harness and cable assemblies, and generating Bills of Material
Specifying low voltage electrical components including protection relays, RTUs, communication devices, and instrument transformers
Defining requirements and writing custom instructions for production testing of control circuits
Generating supplementary instruction sheets that describe the operation of control circuitry
Participating in cross-functional design teams to ensure customer needs are satisfied through high quality product designs that are delivered in a timely manner
Providing support and to act as a technical resource for problem solving activities in both design and production processes
Qualification
Required
Associated degree in an Electrical Field or equivalent
Must be self-motivated, well organized, and skilled decision maker that is comfortable in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment
Strong technical abilities with good interpersonal and communication skills
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience in design and drafting of electrical schematics and interconnection diagrams for low voltage control circuits is preferred but not required
Proficiency in the use of CAD systems, preferably Zuken, MicroStation, Solid Edge, or AutoCAD
Experience in, or working knowledge of, medium voltage switching, and protection products and systems is not required but is a plus
