Responsibilities
Infrastructure Ownership: Lead the design and maintenance of on-premise Kubernetes clusters and Longhorn storage systems
Deployment & CI/CD: Architect secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) and implement robust deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary)
System Reliability (SRE): Establish baseline observability (logging, metrics) and define operational procedures for incident response and disaster recovery
Application Modernization: Bridge the gap between hardware and software by architecting a Python-based microservice ecosystem and migrating legacy monoliths
Technical Leadership: Set the bar for code quality, security protocols (RBAC/Secrets Management), and production awareness across the engineering team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of software engineering experience with a heavy focus on production-level systems
Expert-level proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Python
Strong background in hybrid or on-premise infrastructure; experience with ArgoCD and Longhorn is a significant plus
A pragmatic, 'on-the-hook' mentality regarding system uptime, data durability, and reliability
Preferred
Familiarity with industrial control systems (SCADA, PLC, MQTT) or supporting high-performance scientific simulation workloads
