Wonderful Orchards is the world's largest grower of almonds, pistachios, and pomegranates, and they are seeking a motivated and responsible intern for their Environmental Health & Safety department. This internship will provide hands-on professional experience in safety project work, including safety form development, inspections, and learning about the components of a safety program.

Responsibilities

Safety Form Development - take existing safety forms and enter Enablon Safety Database

Fulcrum - Perform safety observations and enter results into Fulcrum

Perform first aid kit and fire extinguisher inspections

Support additional safety project needs

Learn about all components of a safety program including: safety training, accident investigation, employee coaching and facility/jobsite inspections

Qualification

Required

Must be a Wonderful Scholar in Sophomore, Junior, or senior year of college

Enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program with studies focused on Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Compliance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field

Must be 18 years of age

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self-directed and able to work autonomously

Energetic and able to tackle new projects and ideas

Ability to write and present reports as requested

CA Valid Driver's License

Preferred

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required

Computer Proficient in Word, and Excel, and use of the internet
