Senior Operations Support Specialist
COMPA Industries is searching for qualified candidates for an Operations Support Specialist 3 position. The role involves critical leadership in overseeing construction activities and operational deliverables within a radiological facility, ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Provide oversight of overarching mission deliverables for construction activities and operations, ensuring quality, accuracy, efficiency, and successful completion
Ensure work is performed safely and delivered on schedule within a Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 2 radiological facility
Maintain compliance with Laboratory policies and regulatory requirements
Organize and oversee operations in construction and field controls
Ensure timely completion of discrete technical activities or operational projects
Adhere to technical project requirements and coordinate across multiple groups within construction projects to ensure proper staffing and execution
Provide timely group support services to assist construction projects
Ensure consistent application of construction engineering standards and practices across projects
Ensure documentation is adequate; develop documentation when gaps are identified
Install and improve processes to enhance efficiency and compliance
Manage budgets and provide oversight of workers and subcontractors
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers
Oversee quality control and assurance activities and manage complex issues in alignment with NQA-1 standards
Qualification
Required
15 or more years of experience in the construction field
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting the DOE mission
Professional and safety certifications relevant to construction within the DOE and nuclear complex
Demonstrated experience supporting construction activities in regulated environments
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
US Citizenship required
A recognized bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or a combination of education and relevant experience
15+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years supporting DOE mission activities
Preferred
Prior DOE experience supporting construction projects
Experience in a work control setting aligned with quality control and quality assurance
Experience managing complex technical issues under NQA-1 requirements
Qualifications as an Electrical Field Work Supervisor, Field Work Supervisor, and/or Responsible (Line) Manager preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
