Responsibilities
Conform to all safety guidelines and procedures
Perform physical testing on fabrics in accordance with ASTM, Federal, Military, AATCC, company, and/or customer test methods
Complete lab testing with little direct supervision and ensure completion of all required product testing in a timely manner and verify whiten enough testing has been completed per sample frequency
Enter test data into database and clearly communicate results to all required Trelleborg personnel
Maintain test equipment appropriately, performing periodic calibration checks as required
Maintain lab records, including storage of records and sample retains, per procedure
Interact with on-site customer source inspectors to uphold customer requirements in a professional, courteous manner
Check inventory of laboratory supplies ensuring supplies are ordered before supply runs out
Notify Supervisor of out of control, discrepancy or unexpected results in timely manner
Answer inquiries about test results and answer questions about specific factors that can influence test results
Perform routine laboratory maintenance tasks including organization and cleaning of work areas
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required; at least one-year technical, associate degree or equivalent manufacturing and lab experience
Excellent written and verbal skills, as well as effective problem analysis and organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office: (PowerPoint, Access, Excel)
General understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
Preferred
SAP/AS400 experience, preferred
