Responsibilities
Develop and correlate detailed thermal models for complex systems
Design and analyze active/passive thermal protection hardware (including insulation systems and high-temperature materials)
Lead thermal verification testing and support qualification campaigns
Conduct thermo-mechanical trade studies and risk reduction efforts
Support hardware fabrication, production, and cross-functional teams
Prepare technical documentation and customer-facing presentations
Qualification
Required
4+ years of thermal engineering experience in aerospace or advanced engineering environments
Strong background in heat transfer (radiation, conduction, convection)
Experience with industry-standard thermal analysis tools
Knowledge of space or mission thermal environments
Proficiency in CAD and scripting tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
Preferred
Technical leadership or SME experience
Thermal/mechanical test planning and execution
Experience in production environments
Advanced degree with thermal focus
