Training Officer
NEOGOV is seeking a Training Officer for the City of Lexington, responsible for coordinating and leading training initiatives within the fire department. This role involves facilitating training on various fire-related topics and ensuring alignment with department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Performing difficult protective service and responsible administrative work commanding fire suppression activities
Coordinating and communicating regularly with staff regarding training initiatives
Participating in and leading training exercises
Making equipment purchasing recommendations
Assisting with and carrying out personnel matters and disciplinary processes
Developing reports
Attending meetings
Participating in and/or leading projects and events
Responding to emergency incidents to assist with command
Facilitating training to ensure consistency of delivery, content, and quality, alignment of training with department policies and procedures, and training safety
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Fire Field Technology or equivalent
Ten years of experience in the fire service
Valid NC Class A/B commercial driver's license (CDL) or valid out-of-state Class A/B CDL with the ability to transfer to NC Class A/B CDL within sixty days of employment and good driving record
NC Firefighter Certification
NC Level II Fire Instructor
NC Emergency Vehicle Driver Certification
NC Driver Operator Certification
NC Technical Rescuer Certification
NC Hazardous Materials Operation Certification
NC Fire Officer II
