Responsibilities
Design and scale cutting-edge models for planet-scale datasets, including satellite streams, population understanding and global environmental signals
Adapt Gemini models for complex "planetary-aware" reasoning, enabling advanced task planning and multi-step execution in complex contexts
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
Advance the field through original model development and rigorous benchmarking, ensuring new breakthroughs are robust, performant, and reproducible
Collaborate to scale models globally, turning transformative AI research into reliable products that have a transformative impact on billions of lives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging)
1 year of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision)
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
Experience in large-scale training of multimodal generative models
Deep understanding of LLMs and their application to agentic systems
Demonstrated ability to lead a research project from conception to a successful outcome
Demonstrated success in building multiagent systems
