The Laboratory Technician will perform basic laboratory procedures, provide administrative support, and manage inventory while ensuring accurate reporting and general lab maintenance.

Responsibilities
Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions
Administrative support
Inventory management of laboratory supplies
Correspondence with vendors and manufactures
Research projects through assembly and analyses of data to prepare reports and documentation
Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal
Operate instruments, with guidance from senior staff perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting
Perform basic analysis as required
Report results
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience
Basic office or administration experience
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail with good organizational skills
Basic computer skills
Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
Preferred
Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided
