Director, Training Health & Safety
FlatironDragados is seeking an experienced health and safety leader to create a safe and healthy workplace. The Director of Training Health & Safety will be responsible for the development and execution of the corporate Safety & Health Training Strategy, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and promoting a safe working environment across the company.

Responsibilities
Lead development and execution of the corporate Safety & Health Training Strategy
Establish enterprise standards for curriculum frameworks, instructor qualification, certification, and training governance
Align training priorities with SIF prevention, corporate risk trends, and Origami data
Ensure training addresses critical heavy civil risks such as cranes and lifting, concrete and formwork, excavation, tunneling, marine, and confined space hazards
Integrate HOP, leadership expectations, and life-critical rules into programs
Ensure consistent delivery across regions, districts, projects, and joint ventures. Monitor instructor performance, program effectiveness, and field adoption
Develop leadership programs for Executives, Project Directors, PMs, and Superintendents
Use Origami Risk and LMS data to track completion, competency, and training effectiveness
Oversee compliance-driven programs including OSHA 10/30 and Competent Person training
Ensure alignment with OSHA standards, client expectations, and contractual obligations
Support audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action closure
Advance modernization through mobile learning, microlearning, and emerging tools
Integrate LMS with Origami and automate workflows
Enable AI-driven insights for risk-based training
Align training innovation with SVP and enterprise digital strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
7+ years in heavy civil health and safety
Certifications: CSP, CIH, CHST, CIT or equivalent required
10+ years in enterprise or regional leadership roles
Experience designing and governing large‑scale training programs
40-60% travel required
Strong knowledge of OSHA and heavy civil hazards
Experience supporting ISO 45001
Ability to engage executives and operations leaders
Experience with enterprise SMS, LMS, and digital platforms
Experience supporting joint ventures and affiliate structures
