Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi‑axis milling, turning, and mill‑turn machines
Work confidently with 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis machining in a tight‑tolerance environment
Improve machining efficiency through cycle‑time reduction, tool strategy, and process refinement
Support first‑article qualification and help troubleshoot advanced machining challenges
Design workholding and tooling solutions for complex parts
Assist in prototype and new‑product development work
Support shopwide improvement efforts, including setup reduction and process standardization
Provide guidance and technical support to other programmers and machinists
Qualification
Required
8+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision or aerospace-type environment
Confident programming multi-axis equipment (3-, 4-, 5-axis)
Can interpret blueprints, models, and G-code at an expert level
Experience with advanced materials such as titanium, Inconel, or aluminum
Proficient in CAD/CAM tools (Mastercam, NX, CATIA, Fusion 360, etc.)
Real-world experience improving machining processes, tooling, and workflow
Enjoy collaborating, problem-solving, and sharing best practices with a skilled team
