InternThe Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a Technical Support Intern to provide entry-level technical assistance within the Tech Lounge. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, onboarding new users, and delivering hands-on support for IT services across the department.

Responsibilities
Understanding of computers (both hardware and software)
Performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of employee computers (PC) and related systems
Troubleshoots and resolves software and hardware failures
Identify network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers
Provides technical support and assists with project efforts
Qualification
Required
Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution
Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school
Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools
Understanding of computers (both hardware and software)

Troubleshoots and resolves software and hardware failures
Identify network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers
Provides technical support and assists with project efforts
Preferred
Experience providing excellent customer service
Experience utilizing ServiceNow in a support environment
Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft O365 platform
Willingness to learn and apply new technology
