Responsibilities
Perform special inspections in accordance with IBC requirements
Conduct reinforced concrete inspections including placement, formwork, rebar, and post-installed anchors
Perform structural steel inspections including bolting and welding (as certified)
Monitor and document field testing activities
Prepare detailed daily field reports and inspection documentation
Communicate inspection findings with project teams and clients
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Qualification
Required
ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
3+ years of special inspection and/or construction materials testing experience
Strong understanding of IBC, ACI, ASTM, and related standards
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
Experience working on commercial, infrastructure, industrial, or public sector projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector
ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
NICET (Soils, Concrete, or Construction Materials Testing)
ATTI (American Traffic Safety Services Association) certifications (if applicable to scope)
Radiation Safety Certification (for nuclear density gauge use)
