Responsibilities

Interfaces with other test engineers and internal customers to coordinate the deployment of new test fixtures
Begin evaluating, designing and project managing own test fixture projects and solicit assistance as needed
Writes, releases, approves, implements, and issues engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required to support the implementation of new or improved test fixtures and equipment
Assist or own the coordination and/or execution of test fixture sourcing activities
Uses basic engineering and DFx principles to estimate and reduce test fixture development costs and improve delivered fixture quality
Develops, maintains and improves test procedures and the overall testing process
Assists with the definition of test specifications with design, software, and manufacturing engineering
Determines time standards and implements changes to improve safety, quality, and reliability
Uses lean principles to eliminate wastes found in the production/test system
Determines root cause and implements corrective actions for issues that arise during design and deployment of test fixtures and provides failure analysis report as required
Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; Uses data to make data driven continuous improvement changes to the test process

Required

Bachelor's degree
2-4 years of related experience

Preferred

Strong conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job
Solid interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex information to others
