Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in mechanical/electromechanical/electrical engineering or closely related field from an accredited university by August 1, 2026
Ability to teach undergraduate courses in Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department
Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and equity
A commitment to the practical mission of the Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Additional professional experience and teaching experience
Preferable expertise: fluids and thermal systems with experience in computational fluid dynamics and engineering
Experience in semiconductor workforce development will be given additional preference
Ability to conduct applied research and develop industry contacts
Commitment to the practical application of engineering principles
Ability to demonstrate excellent teaching, and develop and support Electromechanical Engineering Technology laboratories
Demonstrated ability to be responsive to the educational equity goals of the university and its increasing ethnic and international character
Demonstration of ability to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and/or service, and of commitment to teaching and working in a multicultural environment
