Responsibilities

Support daily operations and programs at Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct and Landsborough Museum, including:

Assist in the delivery of public programs including guided tours, talks, workshops, events, school holiday activities, and curriculum-aligned educational sessions

Assist with collection-related tasks, including cataloguing, object documentation, and research, under supervision

Support the implementation of best practice measures in preventative conservation and housekeeping processes, including exhibition maintenance, under supervision

Required

Genuine interest in museums, heritage, history and cultural programming

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable engaging with a wide range of visitors

Ability to follow instructions well

Contribute positively to a welcoming, safe and professional setting

Confident using basic computer programs, including email, word processing and simple data entry

Hold, or be able to obtain, an active Blue Card to support involvement in programs that engage children and families

Physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending

Satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check
