Director of Learning & Development
Xperience Restaurant Group (XRG) is a company focused on the restaurant industry, and they are seeking a Director of Learning & Development to develop and drive training initiatives for their Restaurant division. This role involves leading a team to design and deliver impactful training, ensuring compliance, and refining training systems for restaurant openings.

Responsibilities
Evaluate and continuously improve current training initiatives, incorporating best practices for results-driven learning
Lead new restaurant openings, to ensure detailed business plan for continued success after opening and the highest quality of training is executed
Manages program development & implementation strategies
Maintains system of record of completed employee training and attendance, sending updates to units and divisions as needed
Manages compliance training and audits to ensure compliance with Anti-Harassment, Food Safety certifications, Alcohol Awareness certifications, CA Heat Prevention, etc
Establish protocol for certifying & auditing remote training & certification
Ensure all training materials are kept current and up to date to ensure compliance with government standards
Execute all stages with new restaurant openings and hold priority review meetings with internal and external partners keeping them on task and motivated
Create and present projected plan to include detailed milestones with associated critical paths, staffing compendiums, and budgets for new restaurant opening projects
Collaborate extensively with other teams to ensure training aligns and exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the Company
Oversees orientation sessions and ensures on-the-job training is taking place for all new hires
Partner directly with operational leaders and HR to align talent and business needs
Assist in recruiting when necessary to fill vacant positions, conducts interviews as need and makes recommendations to hire
Work with marketing department to develop educational materials and program signage
Qualification
Required
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
21+ years of age
8+ years of experience in Restaurant or Hospitality and project management roles
3+ years of experience managing direct reports
BA in Organizational Development, Communication, Business and/or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of organizational development and corporate environment training
Valid Driver's License
Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
Strong project management skills, presentation skills, ability to design training from scratch, and us the latest technology to manage training endeavors
Must have strong analytical skills with an ability to think strategically, attention to detail and having exquisite follow up/through skills
Extensive experience in restaurant & hospitality operations and new openings
Knowledge & understanding of Federal & State regulations
Effectively operates independently with minimal direction
Must be an individual of high integrity, possess exceptional leadership skills
Proven relationship management, diplomacy, and consultative abilities
Knowledge in profitability analysis and budgeting
Preferred
Prior Restaurant Operations, General Manager or Asst. General Manager roles held is a plus!
Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus
Experience with Learning Management Systems (UKG/Schoox learning management system preferred)
