JOINT TRAINING OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND is seeking a Joint Training Operations Specialist. The role involves facilitating joint academics for exercises, managing mandatory training programs, and providing support for training objectives and lessons learned programs.

Responsibilities
You will facilitate joint academics for USINDOPACOM headquarters and subordinate battle staffs for the 18 exercises in the Joint Exercise Program (JEP)
You will manage the Individual Mandatory Training program for the USINDOPACOM headquarters
You will facilitate the Commander’s Individual Staff Training and Orientation Program (ISTOP) for new personnel joining HQ USINDOPACOM
You will provide Training Objective development support to HQ USINDOPACOM and subordinate battle staff for the 20 JEP exercises
You will manage the USINDOPACOM Joint Lessons Learned program, Issue Resolution Program, and Joint Task Force Operational Capability Assessment program
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: 1) Supporting and managing all day-to-day domain planning and operations; 2) Facilitating training and exercising policy, planning, execution and analysis; 3) Developing and executing operational and exercise assessment processes and programs; 4) Planning, directing, monitoring, and assessing implementation of the Joint Training System; and 5) Developing and executing lessons learned and academic training programs for training audiences
