Responsibilities

Use modern data analytics and business intelligence tools (Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, Python, and Oracle SQL Developer) to perform complex data analysis and develop reports and dashboards for Global Supplier Quality & Development
Support leadership in data-driven decision making by developing reports, tools, and dashboards that enable effective Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Partner with Supplier Quality Launch Engineers to report on Component Readiness Valves (CRV), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Run at Rate performance throughout the Global Vehicle, Powertrain, and Software Development Process (GxDP)
Lead integration of the Supplier Process Change Request (SPCR) process into Supplier Quality’s value stream, ensuring accurate, timely data is available and actionable for stakeholders
Analyze Quality Performance Rating (QPR) metrics to identify trends, failure modes, and improvement opportunities using customized Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Gather and document functional and technical requirements from Supplier Quality Engineers and leadership to design reports with drill-down capabilities for multiple organizational levels
Design, develop, validate, and maintain Power BI datasets, models, and reports to acquire, clean, and transform data from multiple sources
Build impactful dashboards and visualizations (histograms, bar and pie charts, line plots) that clearly communicate insights and support critical decision making
Perform ongoing maintenance, updates, and enhancements to reports deployed to Power BI Service, including monitoring scheduled refreshes to ensure accurate and reliable data
Coordinate cross-functional activities and Change Requests to promote reports from pre-production to production environments
Utilize Excel (Pivot Tables, Data Models, advanced formulas) and VBA macros to create and automate analytical reports and tools
Write SQL queries in Oracle SQL Developer to explore data sources, identify relevant tables/fields, and extract data required for analysis and reporting
Perform data wrangling and data quality checks to structure, cleanse, and validate data used in reporting solutions
Identify and communicate data quality and system issues, recommending changes and improvements to enhance data integrity and usability

Required

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
Minimum 1 year of experience in data engineering or analytics roles
Proficiency with data visualization tools for data modeling, query transformations, and dashboard development
Strong skills in SQL with experience working in server environments and tools such as Oracle SQL Developer or similar tools
Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including Pivot Tables, Data Models, complex formulas, and experience writing VBA macros to automate reporting tasks
Ability to perform data wrangling, quality checks, and troubleshooting across multiple data sources
Demonstrated experience creating clear, intuitive visualizations and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions from stakeholders into data and reporting requirements
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across functions and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
High attention to detail, especially regarding data accuracy, consistency, and interpretation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI for data modeling, Power Query transformations, and dashboard development
Strong skills in SQL with experience working in Oracle environments and tools such as Oracle SQL Developer
Experience with supplier quality data or manufacturing analytics
Hands-on experience with modern data analytics and business intelligence tools (Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, Python, and Oracle SQL Developer)
Knowledge of Slack automation, and SharePoint integration
Knowledge in Databricks, Dataloop or Microsoft Fabric
Familiarity with GM systems such as SQMS, MARS, and SPCR workflows
Prior experience supporting dashboard development and data governance in a corporate setting
