They are seeking a highly motivated Consulting Intern to support their Health Policy Analysis Practice by providing economic, actuarial, and analytics services to government and nonprofit clients.

Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of the general consulting process
Follow appropriate diagnostic, data collection, fact finding, and data analysis practices
Develop skill in written and verbal communications
Gather, manipulate, and analyze healthcare data from a variety of sources
Keep supervisors and others informed of status of assigned projects
Participate in staff/team meetings and training and work effectively as a team player on multiple client projects
Develop concise summaries, reports, and presentations of complex data for client leadership
Perform assigned administrative tasks effectively and efficiently
Assist in performing consulting engagements of all sizes. This may involve such tasks as conducting research, assisting with detailed and technical aspects of the engagement, documenting the engagement and assisting with engagement reporting
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's or MA degree Mathematics, Statistics, Political Science, Public Health, Economics, Management Information Systems, Health Care Management or Business
Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint desirable
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Strong attention to detail and quality, and facility with numbers
Self-starting and proactive approach to identifying and maintaining momentum for activities important to the busy team and its clients, while flexibly responding to occasional deadline-driven sprints
Excellent organizational abilities and administrative skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to stay ahead of deadlines and manage multiple client and internal priorities
Writing/editing/proofreading experience
Ability to communicate with management in an open and objective manner
Ability to work both independently and in a team-based, collaborative environment
Preferred
An effective communicator via email, phone, video, or face to face
Passionate about topics that affect public welfare and consumer protection
Interested in healthcare-related topics, including Medicaid and public health
