Responsibilities
Experience defining verification plans, traceability matrices, and conducting formal reviews/inspections for high‑assurance software
Hands‑on experience in embedded C/C++ and familiarity with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) test frameworks
Proven proficiency with formal specification tools and model‑based development environments
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Collaborating with system architects, safety engineers, and test teams to translate high level mission objectives into precise, verifiable software specifications and supporting model based development processes
Maintaining compliance of the existing FSW with the mature requirements baseline, managing change control, and driving the evolution and growth of the requirements set throughout the system’s lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Experience defining verification plans, traceability matrices, and conducting formal reviews/inspections for high‑assurance software
Hands‑on experience in embedded C/C++ and familiarity with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) test frameworks
Proven proficiency with formal specification tools and model‑based development environments
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred
Strong understanding of hypersonic missile architecture, Guidance‑Navigation‑Control (GNC) algorithms, and flight‑software (FSW) development cycles
Proven track record integrating requirements management tools (IBM DOORS, Jama, Polarion) with source‑code repositories and CI/CD pipelines for automated traceability
Demonstrated experience working on complex, tightly coupled hardware‑software platforms (e.g., flight‑control computers, sensor suites, or missile air‑frame integration) where software behavior directly influences hardware performance and vice‑versa, including participation in hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) testing, board‑level debugging, and cross‑disciplinary trade‑off analyses
