Transmission Operations (TOPS) Compliance Manager

The Transmission Operations Compliance Manager will work with Transmission Operations SMEs and compliance teams to ensure adherence to NERC standards, identify compliance risks, and develop internal controls. This role also involves assisting in audit preparation and implementing improvements based on findings and lessons learned.

Responsibilities

Develop, improve, and execute internal controls
Identify compliance gaps and risks; work with stakeholders to implement improved compliance practices
Assist in potential non-compliance investigations for operations incidents
Implement compliance program enhancements associated with findings, lessons learned, events
Assist in development of audit evidence, RSAWs, and audit RFI responses
Review operating procedures for compliance with requirements
Advise business unit stakeholders on best practices and standard adherence

Required

Bachelor's degree (or three (3) years of additional experience in lieu of a degree)
Minimum of seven (7) years of compliance or related utility experience
High level of motivation and commitment to demonstrating the AEP core principles
Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization
