Responsibilities
Work on a multi-disciplinary team, including electrical, mechanical, reliability, controls, energy, architectural, and civil engineers
Coordinate building electrical outages at regular intervals of various sizes and engineering disciplines. This will require interfacing with stakeholders of all types to mitigate risk during outage activities. This will require that critical systems are backed up, and contingency plans are in place
Provide electrical engineering troubleshooting guidance while working with Plant Engineering to resolve. Often with aged infrastructure, there are emergency failures in systems, and it requires both maintenance and engineering teamwork to fix the emerging issue as well as reduce risk of reoccurrences in the future
Ensure the proper working order of site infrastructure units such as HVAC/AHU's, substations, power meters, chillers, and more. You will be working with Reliability Engineering and Plant Engineering to help advice Facilities Condition Assessment (FCA) data on infrastructure, as well as a plan of action to maintain or replace
Assist in electrical engineering designs and design reviews on capital and overhead projects. You will pay special attention to maintainability and efficiency best practices on proposed A&E designs, or in-house efforts
Run small-medium projects across site, serving as the main project manager in which you will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute requirements effectively
Respond to site on occasion, such as during inclement weather, which may drive unplanned unplanned outages or infrastructure damage (e.g. power role lines icing over during winter), and solution with the help of Plant Engineering and on-site contractors
Qualification
Required
Previous facilities experience working with building infrastructure
Working knowledge of critical facilities and site infrastructure such as HVAC, chiller systems, steam, electrical, and other systems
Track record of implementing executable and effective solutions
Track record of executing projects from start to finish
Familiarity with current applicable building codes
Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all levels of personnel
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related degree), or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment
3 to 7 years of Facilities Engineering experience with an emphasis on electrical engineering
Extensive experience with site infrastructure and power distribution systems; specifically engineering design and how they are planned, organized, and maintained
Experience planning, coordinating, and leading electrical outages, impacting a multitude of building types, uses, and sizes
Experience and knowledge of site utilities preventative maintenance (PM) requirements and procedures
Familiarity with Reliability Engineering concepts for maintainability and mitigating downtime
Knowledge of Lockheed Martin Facilities Standards, Industry Standards, policies and procedures
Experience operating in and analyzing data in Tableau
Knowledge of LMBuildings terminology and how to operate
Experience working with utilities companies and coordinating installations or repairs of their equipment
Excellent customer service skills and ability to interpret customer requirements
Experience with utilities meters (e.g. power meters) at the substation level & experience integrating them for data readings
Demonstrated experience leading change/process improvement activities and driving employee engagement to deliver results
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain clearances as needed to support Customers
