Responsibilities
Execute control design, monitoring design, and testing design assessments in accordance with established standards and procedures
Review and manage exceptions identified during control effectiveness testing, partnering with Control Owners to assess outcomes and remediation plans
Develop and deliver training related to controls, processes, and risks for testing and assessment teams
Drive continuous improvement across accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and quality of control assessments and testing
Own and manage a book of work, effectively prioritizing competing deliverables
Support training and cross-training of assessment officers, including coordination across onshore and offshore teams
Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, driving accountability and collaboration in support of the broader risk and compliance strategy
Contribute to additional initiatives and deliverables as directed by management
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in control assessment across the first, second, or third line of defense
Advanced knowledge of control design, assessment, and testing methodologies
Strong understanding of Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) or equivalent risk and control self-assessment frameworks
Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders (Director/SVP level)
Strong relationship management skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to work independently in virtual, global team environments across time zones
Preferred
Experience within a Compliance or Risk function at a global bank or financial institution preferred
