Field Installation Manager I
Avalon Flooring is a company committed to creating an inclusive work environment, and they are seeking a Field Installation Manager I. The role involves coordinating and overseeing the installation of flooring materials and window treatments, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction while managing sub-contractors and customer service tickets.

Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee preparation of paperwork for sub-contractors; i.e. job packet including customer cover sheet. Checks for and allocates material for installation
Meet with sub-contractors daily to review jobs ensuring they have the proper paperwork and material to complete their installations
Ensure collection of all C.O.D. balances
Invoice jobs
Check sub-contractors bills to insure proper amount to be paid, then scan installers’ bills to corporate office to be paid
Visit worksites as needed to inspect and monitor installation
Manage all customer service tickets; review, respond and schedule including proper follow up
Assist in solving any problems related to the installation of material in a timely manner
Work with warehouse associates to ensure jobs are staged, review stock sundries and reorder with purchasing
Recruit sub-contractors
Communicate scheduling details to sub-contractors
Interact daily with Store Management, Sales Estimators, Sales Representatives and warehouse staff members to ensure proper and efficient installation for customers
Post payments received by the sub-contractors
Attend technical product training as needed
Coordinate estimator job site visits with sub-contractors for complex, larger and commercial jobs
Participate in estimates with estimators as needed for technical guidance
Participate in installation conference calls, schedule store visits and participation in weekly sales meetings when required
Perform other related duties as assigned to support team and business needs
Qualification
Required
Ability to work 40 hours per week/ Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm with a rotating Saturday schedule
Comprehensive understanding of the Avalon Installation Process
Comprehensive understanding and use of technology while working with customers, including computer and software skills
Demonstrate math skills needed for installation and building process
5+ years of construction experience, preferably installing flooring materials
Able to consistently demonstrate Avalon's values and 51% characteristics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues and customers
Able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, and develop alternative solutions
Exhibit patience and grace in managing difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure installation process is completed efficiently
Business acumen and good judgement around profitability and the customer experience
Understanding of market conditions and competition, and Avalon's unique competitive advantage
Skills to coordinate and complete responsibilities on time with effective communication
Ability to embrace change within the company and any specific role
Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
