Interdisciplinary Electronics Engineer/Computer Scientist Tech Specialist
Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a Full-Time Interdisciplinary Electronics Engineer/Computer Scientist Tech Specialist to provide strategic direction regarding project management and operational responsibility. The role involves defining and evaluating design and development activities to ensure project success and support the warfighter with high-quality engineering solutions.

Serve as a professional interdisciplinary technical authority to provide strategic direction regarding project management, execution, and operational responsibility in assigned area(s)
Considered a technical expert for the organization and provides strategic leadership and management to ensure project/program success
Work encompasses several phases of the planning and development process in which the employee defines and evaluates the design and development activities

Obtain & maintain Top Secret Security clearance
This is a designated Drug Testing Position
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)
An engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an institution with an ABET accredited program in electronics engineering, computer science, or a closely related field is required
Mastery-level professional knowledge of electronics engineering and computer science concepts, theories, principles, and practices and working knowledge of other disciplines, such as aerospace, industrial, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering
Expert knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment
Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices
Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines
Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes
Skilled at presenting complex information and educating others to support collaboration and teamwork
Ability to apply both academic and learned concepts and methods to solve complex problems as well as conceive new ideas and methodologies for approaching problems to improve project, program and organizational performance
