Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure cloud and network architectures
Deploy and manage security solutions within Microsoft Azure and other cloud environments
Implement cloud security controls, monitor compliance, and utilize tools such as Azure Security Center and Azure Policy
Support incident response, including investigation, documentation, and process enhancement
Develop and maintain SOPs for SOC operations and cloud security monitoring
Collaborate with development, operations, and compliance teams to achieve enterprise security goals
Document security processes and ensure clarity for monitoring and response teams
Manage security-related projects from planning to delivery, including status reporting, risk management, and issue escalation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years in information security, including 3+ years in a senior or lead engineering role
5+ years hands-on cloud security engineering experience, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
Extensive experience designing and maintaining defense-in-depth strategies for complex network architectures
Strong knowledge of threat modeling, risk assessment, and cloud security best practices
Expertise in network routing, TCP/IP, OSI Layers 1–7, and secure cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with vulnerability management, risk analysis, and forensic investigations
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, FERPA, and SOX
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of IT operating models (Plan, Build, Run) and scripting/programming skills (Python, PowerShell, Perl preferred)
