Responsibilities
Deploy and configure cellular routers and SD-WAN edge devices
Provision and activate SIM/eSIM profiles; configure APNs and carrier parameters
Configure LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewall rules, routing, and failover policies
Validate redundancy between cellular, wired, and wireless uplinks
Act as Tier-2 escalation for connectivity, performance, and provisioning issues
Troubleshoot LTE/5G signal quality, latency, throughput, and stability
Analyze logs, RF metrics, and network paths to isolate router, LAN, or carrier faults
Support VPN connectivity (IPsec, site-to-site, cloud tunnels)
Coordinate with wireless carriers on activations, suspensions, and escalations
Manage device identifiers (IMEI, ICCID) and inventory records
Assist with carrier plan optimization and usage troubleshooting
Maintain deployment documentation, configs, and troubleshooting notes
Follow change-management and deployment runbooks
Provide guidance to Tier-1 support and field technicians
Communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Qualification
Required
Strong networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, NAT, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls)
Hands-on experience with fixed wireless, cellular routers, or WWAN solutions
Working knowledge of LTE/5G, SIM provisioning, and carrier APNs
Experience with remote management platforms (e.g., Cradlepoint NetCloud, Peplink InControl)
2–4 years in network support, deployment, or MSP environments
Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site networks
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Comfortable in customer-facing escalation scenarios
Preferred
Experience with SD-WAN platforms and VPN technologies
Vendor certifications or formal networking training
Experience with MSPs, telecom providers, or large enterprises
Familiarity with zero-touch provisioning and large-scale deployments
