DMV Customer Service Representative - (Bilingual & Non-Bilingual Positions!)

The State of Wisconsin is seeking a DMV Customer Service Representative to utilize customer service skills to assist the public with driver licensing and vehicle registration inquiries. This role involves processing applications, conducting research, and providing information to various stakeholders while maintaining a hybrid work schedule from a DMV Service Center or state office building in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Answer inquiries and research solutions for customer applications
Process customer applications and communicate important information with the Wisconsin DMV
Provide information to the general public, law enforcement, and courts regarding driver licensing and vehicle registration
Perform tasks such as processing mailed-in applications, issuing products, and producing records
Conduct complex research of state laws and transportation codes
Apply state statutes, administrative rules, and departmental policies to licensing and/or vehicle registration

Required

Experience providing customer service
Experience researching and resolving customer issues or concerns
Experience working with computer programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word or Excel
For bilingual positions: Ability to read, write and speak fluently in Spanish in addition to English

Preferred

Experience in a high-volume customer service contact center (contacting customers via phone, email, or chat)
Experience interpreting and explaining complex information, such as laws and statutes
Experience performing work that requires multitasking
Experience working as a member of a team to achieve a singular goal
