Business Development Engineer - Western US Territory

Amphenol Pcd is currently seeking a Business Development Engineer to join their Pasadena, CA team and lead sales efforts for their product lines across the Western United States. The role involves ownership of lead generation, account development, and closing new business opportunities to support revenue growth targets.

Responsibilities

Lead account development, design-in activities, and market break-in for various product lines
Foster customer relationships that generate new business opportunities, in coordination with sales and sales management
Forecast and achieve monthly order targets; analyze monthly business performance
Identify customer needs and industry trends to build a short-, medium-, and long-term sales pipeline aligned with targets
Manage proposal responses, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and cross-functional input gathering
Support the development of sales collateral, deliver sales training, and assist in trade show activities

Required

3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
Self-sufficient and able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, especially time-sensitive customer and sales requests
Effective communication and presentation skills, with a focus on customer engagement
Willingness and ability to travel up to 35%, both domestically and internationally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Marketing, or equivalent relevant work experience
Candidate must be able to legally work in the United States; we are unable to provide sponsorship
Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20)

Preferred

Prior experience in military and aerospace, or relevant industry
Prior experience with Interconnect, Cable or Wire Harness assemblies
