Responsibilities
Architect and scale distributed, fault-tolerant systems on AWS designed for high throughput and low latency
Design backend services that process and analyze complex clinical datasets across thousands of providers
Build AI-driven workflows that automate decision-heavy medical review processes
Make critical decisions around system design, performance optimization, and long-term architecture
Partner directly with Product and leadership to shape technical strategy — not just execute tickets
Raise the engineering bar through code quality, thoughtful design reviews, and mentorship
Qualification
Required
6+ years building production-grade backend systems
Strong experience in Python and/or TypeScript
Deep familiarity with AWS infrastructure and cloud-native architectures
Proven experience designing scalable distributed systems
Experience in high-growth, high-ownership environments
Strong product sense and ability to navigate ambiguity
A track record of shipping high-quality systems that scale
