Technician Intern (Summer 2026)
Blue Origin is a company focused on developing reusable and safe space vehicles and systems. They are seeking a Technician Intern to support shop operations while gaining foundational knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes through structured training and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities
Complete structured on-the-job training (OJT) in tool crib operations and manual machining under mentor guidance
Support daily shop operations including tool management, inventory tasks, and 5S activities
Complete a 5S or continuous improvement project that benefits shop operations
Learn to interpret basic engineering drawings and understand fundamental GD&T concepts
Develop understanding of machining processes, tooling applications, and quality inspection methods
Document learning through detailed run histories and process observations
Deliver presentation summarizing internship projects and key lessons learned
Follow all safety, quality, and company policies while demonstrating Blue Origin's Leadership Principles
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Currently pursuing relevant technical degree/certification in machining, manufacturing, or related field
Available to work full time while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
Good understanding of basic electronic theory – voltage, resistance, current
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
Ability to follow written assembly procedures
Ability to learn new skills quickly
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Attention to detail and desire for continuous improvement
Ability to thrive as a member of a team
