Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of Walmart+ data scientists focused on building AI/ML models, experimentation, and enablement across the Walmart+ ecosystem
Own the cross-portfolio experimentation agenda, including standards for test design, guardrails, measurement, and documentation used across all analytical teams supporting Walmart+
Prioritize and oversee data science and customer behavior modeling (e.g., propensity, churn, uplift, targeting) that unlocks new strategies or de-risks key decisions for Walmart+ leadership
Scale and templatize solutions by transforming successful experiments and models into reusable packages, feature stores, code templates, or playbooks used across teams
Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, turning complex tests and models into simple narratives that influence Walmart+ strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field
Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field
7 years' experience in an analytics or related field
Preferred
Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics
Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R
Supervisory experience
Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch)
