Operator, Finishing/Bindery - 2nd Shift

Amsive is a leader in high-volume print and mail manufacturing with over 40 years of experience. They are seeking an Operator for their Finishing/Bindery department to operate and set up finishing lines, perform equipment maintenance, and ensure product quality in a regulated manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines and traditional cutters and folders in bindery
Enter data into ERP system to monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality
Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance
Sample and monitor product quality and making modifications as needed
Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting and stabilizing performance as they occur
Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted
Other related duties as assigned by management

Required

Experience operating a high speed processing and finishing system in the printing and mailing industry
Transforming large rolls of printed paper into final products such as direct mail, transactional documents, inserts and book blocks
Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines and traditional cutters and folders in bindery
Enter data into ERP system to monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality
Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance
Sample and monitor product quality and making modifications as needed
Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting and stabilizing performance as they occur
Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted
Other related duties as assigned by management
Familiarity with print workflows, mailpiece formats (letters, flats, postcards), and USPS postal regulations
Experience setting up and running high-speed finishing equipment (inserters, folders, cutters, stackers, unwinders, stitchers, binders)
Ability to troubleshoot jams, misfeeds, or alignment issues
Checking for print defects, alignment, correct collation, and address readability
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Must be able to stand on feet for at least 12 hours/day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Certain PPE may be required while performing specific job functions
