Business Intelligence Analyst
Midwest Transplant Network Inc is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support core business operations through data-driven solutions. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing analytical reports while collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to enhance existing processes and inform decision-making.

Responsibilities
Designs develops and maintains high quality visual and analytical reports using tools such as SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Looker, IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, MicroStrategy, and other relevant tools
Collaborates with stakeholders to promote analytical application including identifying trends, projections, anomalies, etc
Serves as a resource for ad-hoc data requests
Works closely with leadership, Data Scientist and the Director, Business Intelligence to prioritize data, analysis and reporting needs
Maintains documentation related to work product to include such items as data dictionaries and change logs
Maintains proficiency in database programming and serves as primary support and developer for operational resources
Designs, creates, and maintains database structures, tables, and relationships
Works with leaders and vendors to manage software updates and assists in defining the division of developmental duties and responsibilities with vendors
Facilitates discussions on data needs, data quality, and data interpretation with internal and external groups
Shows proficiency in SQL Server, DAX, Microsoft Visual Studio, ETL theory and practice and data security concepts for both on-premises and cloud environments
Investigates and recommends tools for data manipulation and analysis which support the MTN mission
Supports update and configuration changes as needed for maintenance, installation and design
Drives automation and data quality control through investigation and solution deployment
Maintains understanding of organizational processes to anticipate data collection requirements as well as current and future analytical needs
Maintains a focus on interdepartmental communication and service with an understanding of primary functions within each department focusing on department-specific data utilization
Gathers and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and applying necessary cleaning and transformations to prepare data for analysis
Performs exploratory data analysis to understand data patterns and relationships and visualizes data to identify trends and anomalies
Analyzes historical data to identify trends, patterns, and relationships, and uses data mining techniques to uncover insights that can inform business decisions
Creates reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and presents complex data and insights in a clear and understandable manner
Works closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and IT professionals, and collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and translates them into analytical solutions
Identifies potential risks and opportunities based on analysis and develops strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, health sciences, business and one or more years of computer science/programming experience required
Excellent analytical and organizational skills required
Possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor work for accuracy and thoroughness while demonstrating perseverance, change agility, and a relentless drive to find answers despite setbacks
Solid understanding of data privacy, compliance, and ethical considerations in data handling
Demonstrated commitment to understanding and anticipating client needs by engaging in an iterative discovery process to ensure effective serve delivery
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning with a growth mindset
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking skills
Must maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy
Must have reliable automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines
Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air
Ability to lift 15 pounds and transfer short distances
Possess ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment
Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone
OSHA Category III – No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties
Home internet and wireless phone access is required
Preferred
Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud for data storage and analytics preferred
