Extension Assistant for 4-H Youth Development - Boyle County
The University of Kentucky is seeking an Extension Assistant for 4-H Youth Development in Boyle County. This role involves providing administrative support to the 4-H Youth Development program, interacting with the public, and assisting in various program activities such as recruitment, teaching, and record keeping.

Responsibilities
Providing administrative support to the 4-H Youth Development program area and the 4-H Youth Development County Agent(s)
Reporting to an Extension Agent and interacting with the general public
Assisting in Quickbooks; maintaining budget files; promoting and organizing new 4-H clubs; recruiting members and volunteer leaders; providing support and guidance to existing 4-H clubs; recruiting and working with volunteers in conducting events and activities such as group projects, 4-H achievement events, and public presentation programs; serving all clientele
Qualification
Required
Driver's License required
Job-related travel; visiting clientele at sites throughout the county (including farms); sitting/standing/walking for long periods; and handling of average-weight objects up to 50 lbs
Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Office 365, Teams, Skype for Business; Zoom; and Quickbooks
State law requires a national and state criminal background check and a letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating the employee is clear to hire based on no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect found through a background check of child abuse and neglect records as a condition of employment or involvement in this program
Preferred
Education or previous experience in working with youth and previous experience working in an administrative support role
