Senior Network Engineer (12+ yrs exp- W2 Only)
Apptad is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage and troubleshoot network devices and ensure operational reliability. The role involves configuring Cisco Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and Wireless, as well as providing Level-3 support and monitoring network performance.
Responsibilities
Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and Wireless
Knowledge on Cisco ACI and implementation
Ability to implement and administer network devices (routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls)
Perform network maintenance and device upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
Configure and troubleshoot WAN optimizer
Experience in Wi-Fi products such as Cisco WLC and Access Points
Must be open for 24x7 environments
Monitor performance and ensure device availability and reliability
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Provide Level-3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
On-call support during weekdays and weekends
Managing IP addresses and resolving conflicts
Experience in the use of network monitoring tools
Support in DR tests/failover from WAN perspective
Providing network engineering support and training to other team members
Ability to manage devices through Cisco Prime Infrastructure
Managing DNS records with third-party vendor
Managing and updating the CMDB on SNOW
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in network engineering
Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and Wireless
Knowledge on Cisco ACI and implementation
Ability to implement and administer network devices (routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls)
Perform network maintenance and device upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
Configure and troubleshoot WAN optimizer
Experience in Wi-Fi products such as Cisco WLC and Access Points

Minimum 7–8 years of experience in BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols
Extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
Hands-on experience in Data Center switching, routing, and overlay technologies
Excellent exposure to current Leaf > Spine > Leaf architectures, validated designs, and methodologies
Excellent knowledge of dynamic routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, iBGP, eBGP
Excellent exposure to Nexus 2K/3K/5K/7K/9K platforms
Excellent exposure to DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
Strong experience in managing and troubleshooting Nexus/Cisco switches with FEX, vPC, VXLAN, VDCs, etc
Experience with routers, switches, HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP redundancy protocols, and firewalls
Strong troubleshooting skills for network and security-related issues
Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and ThousandEyes
Experience with Infoblox
Experience with load balancers such as F5 (LTM, GTM)
