Supervisor, Technical Training North America

Responsibilities
Provides direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for the North America Technical Trainer Team, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused training function
Partners with the Manager, Global Technical Training to develop, align, and execute the North America technical training strategy, ensuring consistency with global standards while addressing regional business needs
Serves as a trusted consultant and subject matter expert to Technical Trainers, functional leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders, providing guidance on training approaches, content, and delivery
Delivers technical training programs in a variety of formats including on-site, virtual, and blended learning environments, supporting both North America and global audiences as needed
Leads the development, maintenance, and governance of technical training materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, scalability, and alignment with product and regulatory requirements
Evaluates and optimizes training content based on participant feedback, product enhancements, system updates, and emerging technology trends
Teaches complex technical concepts and system relationships using modern digital training tools, multimedia resources, and interactive learning methodologies
Supports new product and market launches by developing comprehensive training concepts, executing train-the-trainer programs, and ensuring readiness across the training organization
Reviews and analysis of training effectiveness and learning outcomes, using defined metrics to drive continuous improvement and business impact
Monitors and manages training-related costs, equipment, and resources, ensuring efficient utilization and alignment with budgetary guidelines
Ensures all initiatives are compliant with regulatory and legal standards and company policies
Complies with company and departmental policies and administrative requirements
Performs other duties as assigned or as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Health Sciences, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical training, technical education, or related field
2 – 4 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development strongly preferred
Experience within a medical device, dental, or regulated technology environment preferred
Hands-on experience delivering complex technical training to diverse audiences, both in person and virtually
Experience supporting product or market launches, including development of training concepts and train-the-trainer programs
Experience managing training budgets, equipment, and resources
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to influence guide, and develop others
Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Quality, and other stakeholders
Demonstrated expertise in CAD/CAM, Imaging, or related technical systems
Strong instructional design and adult principle knowledge, including experience with instructor-led, virtual, and blending learning modalities
Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in customer-facing and international environments
Strong proficiency in information technology, including cloud-based platforms and networking concepts
Proficiency with digital learning tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia training platforms
Ability to travel up to 50% within North America and occasionally internationally
Valid passport required
Preferred
2 – 4 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development strongly preferred
Experience within a medical device, dental, or regulated technology environment preferred
