Responsibilities
Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Monitor network performance and availability; respond to alerts and outages under guidance from senior staff
Provide first-level support for network-related incidents and service requests
Collaborate with other IT teams to support ongoing infrastructure projects
Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure network reliability
Support inventory management of networking hardware and cabling
Stay informed on basic networking trends and best practices
Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/teammates and leaders across the organization
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required
2 - 5+ years of professional network engineering experience required
On-site network monitoring experience required
Must be eligible to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols
Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions from senior engineers
Preferred
Internship or hands-on experience in a network support role is a plus
Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent (or actively pursuing) are preferred
Exposure to network monitoring tools and ticketing systems is preferred
