Electronic Engineer

Responsibilities
Participating in the testing of electronic prototypes to ensure quality and safety in products
Assisting in the development and design of electronic prototypes using established theories and practices
Designing systems, components and devices that are consisting of electrical and electronic technology
Supporting internal and external manufacturing facilities that manufacture or install electronic systems and components
Qualification
Required
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives
Electronics Engineering: Knowledge of electronics engineering; ability to design, test and manufacture electronic circuits, components and devices
Product Design: Knowledge of and the ability to utilize design tools (e.g. CAD) to convert customer and market requirements into a product design
Mechanical Engineering: Knowledge of mechanical engineering processes, techniques and methods; ability to design and implement machines and other mechanical devices that safely realize a desired objective or invention
Preferred
Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
Demonstrated electrical and/or mechanical design and development strength
Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Requires strong technical leadership skills
Previous experience in Pro/E or Creo modeling and simulation tools
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams
Highly skilled at using common office software and strong documentation practices
Experience with Environmental validation, EMC testing, Safety and Regulatory Compliance
Progressive electrical & electronics development in an engineering role relating to at least some of the following: engine systems, machine control systems, generator set control, component development and system integration
