UNITY Systems is seeking an IT Workstation Support Technician to collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient hardware and software management. The role involves installations, technical support, and customer service, while maintaining inventory and adhering to IT Security policies.

Responsibilities

Label equipment according to organizational specifications
Research, verify, and document device specifications based on purchase orders and established standards
Coordinate with service and business units to relocate equipment as requested
Perform on-site installations, technical support, repairs, and customer service independently
Act as a technical liaison in the field, collaborating with support teams such as Help Desk, Applications, and Materials Management
Assist with end-user training and explain hardware/software requirements, scheduling impacts, and break/fix options
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment required for installations and repairs
Partner with IT Infrastructure teams to manage parts inventory
Evaluate and process equipment in accordance with IT Security policies and guidelines
Participate in overtime and on-call support as required

Required

High School Diploma
Valid driver's license
Two (2) years of customer service experience
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience using ticket tracking systems and related documentation tools
Understanding of computer terminology (CPU, Networking, LAN/WAN, Client/Server, etc.)
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and work with arms above shoulder level
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to distinguish colors

Preferred

Two (2) years of customer service experience supporting computers, OR
Associate degree, OR
Two (2) years of technical school training in Computers, Technology, Electronics, or a related field
