Responsibilities
Ability to work closely with the field engineering teams supporting capital project scoping, field-based assessments and process improvement initiatives
Technical analysis, documentation and collaboration will team and stakeholders
Ability to conduct field assessments and power systems modeling (load flow studies)
Support grid modernization and infrastructure replacement
Scope capital projects including overhead/underground conductor replacement, programmable capacitor control and fuse upgrades
Document and track projects
Provide recommendations and documentation for system and process improvements
Assist in training and guiding engineering team on new tools and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Working knowledge of the distribution grid, automated equipment, and telemetry systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical maps and schematics
Knowledge of CYME, DMS, EMS, Circuit Viewer and ADMS
Understanding of engineering and principals and electric power flow
Experience with data validation, troubleshooting, and equipment testing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Apps) for reporting and analysis
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication skills along with all levels of staff to include engineers, field crews and stakeholders
