Responsibilities
Developing, overseeing, and scheduling daily activities and facility events
Coordinating activities with internal and external departments to determine, develop, and implement programming needs, program objectives, and marketing programs
Assisting in developing department guidelines and procedures
Completing various forms and reports regarding program objectives, evaluation, and financial status
Ensuring compliance with state, federal and county policies and procedures
Completing human services assessments of new and current senior clients for program eligibility
Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment and ensuring the safety of program participants
Instructing courses when necessary, or other relevant duties as needed
Educating and providing information about classes, programs, services, and rental opportunities to the public at community events, resource and job fairs, and other forums as needed
Qualification
Required
Valid driver's license
Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services, Gerontology, or a closely related field such as Social Work, Public Health, or Public Administration
Two years of experience working in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services, Gerontology, or a closely related field such as Social Work, Public Health, or Public Administration
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered
This job requires fingerprinting
CPR Certification within 6 months
First Aid Certification within 6 months
Preferred
At least one year of experience working with older adults
At least one year of supervisory experience
