Human Resources Coordinator

Bass Underwriters is a leading Managing General Agency for commercial property and casualty insurance. They are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support their HR team in recruiting coordination, onboarding execution, and core HR administration.

Responsibilities

Support full-cycle recruiting efforts by partnering with the Talent Acquisition Lead, including posting and maintaining job requisitions in the ATS
Coordinate interview scheduling and conduct initial HR screening interviews for designated roles with training and support
Communicate with candidates regarding timelines, next steps, and interview logistics to ensure a positive candidate experience
Assist with new hire onboarding execution, including coordinating pre-employment steps, reviewing required documentation, supporting paperwork completion, and ensuring day-one readiness
Ensure accuracy and completeness of onboarding documentation, including I-9s, background checks, and required employment forms
Partner with IT and managers to coordinate system access, equipment needs, and start-date readiness
Serve as a point of contact for general HR questions, routing inquiries to appropriate HR team members
Provide miscellaneous HR administrative support, including but not limited to employee communication, reporting, audits, and compliance documentation

Required

1–2 years of experience in office administration, coordination, HR support, or a similar role
Experience scheduling meetings and/or interviews in Microsoft Teams/Outlook
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, candidate-focused approach
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (or similar tools)
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR team members, hiring managers, and leadership
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion

Preferred

Comfort conducting initial video screening interviews strongly preferred
Experience working in an ATS platform is a plus; Comfort learning new systems and technology and online tools is necessary
