Investigation Specialist

The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for an Investigation Specialist for the Investigation Division within the Executive Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This role involves performing complex investigative enforcement work and conducting administrative investigations of allegations of employee misconduct.

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, public administration or in a related field
Three (3) years of work experience conducting investigations related to discrimination, including protected class harassment and sexual harassment, violations of workplace policies, and employee misconduct
Three (3) years of experience with narrative report writing
Juris Doctor Degree
One (1) year of work experience conducting investigations related to discrimination, including protected class harassment and sexual harassment, violations of workplace policies, and employee misconduct
Two (2) years of experience with narrative report writing

Preferred

Juris Doctor Degree or a Master's degree in business, public administration or in a related field
Four (4) years of experience conducting investigations related to discrimination, including protected class harassment and sexual harassment, violations of workplace policies, and employee misconduct
Four (4) years of experience with internal investigations
Four (4) years of experience with internal investigations involving police matters
Four (4) years of experience with internal investigations in a municipal or public setting
Four (4) years of experience providing advice and counsel regarding personnel and confidential matters
Any specialized certifications/training in MCAD, EEOC & ADA investigations
