Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end margin and commission process
Document current-state workflows and pain points
Design a scalable, auditable future-state model
Eliminate unnecessary manual steps
Define clear controls, approvals, and exception handling
Establish Finance governance model (definitions, sign-off, controls)
Align reporting methodology with Finance leadership
Ensure audit-ready documentation and traceability
Serve as the primary Ops ↔ Finance bridge for revenue economics
Deeply assess current ERP setup (Sage Intacct or equivalent)
Identify automation opportunities (near-term and phased)
Partner with IT on integrations and tooling improvements
Recommend pragmatic solutions (not tool-first consulting)
Define the appropriate scope for junior Financial Ops analyst(s)
Create SOPs, templates, and standardized reporting
Train internal team to sustain the model post-engagement
Reduce key-person risk
Qualification
Required
8–15+ years in Financial Ops / RevOps / Consulting Ops
Direct ownership of margin and commission processes
Professional services or consulting environment experience
ERP-based reporting experience (Sage, NetSuite, similar)
Proven history fixing manual, high-risk processes
Comfortable operating cross-functionally and pushing back
Preferred
Healthcare IT or large delivery workforce experience
Project-based services exposure
Prior fractional or advisory engagements
