User Experience Designer
DTI (Diversified Technology Inc.) is an IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in Chicago's Loop. They are seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead end-to-end product design for GenAI-powered experiences, focusing on translating complex model capabilities into user-friendly workflows.
Responsibilities
Own UX for key Zora AI product areas: discovery → definition → design → validation → launch → iteration
Translate product strategy and model capabilities into user journeys, information architecture, and interaction patterns
Design AI-specific experiences: prompt/input patterns, outputs, citations/provenance, feedback loops, error states, and safe fallback behaviors
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in a scalable system (components, patterns, tokens)
Lead and/or partner on user research (concept tests, usability, diary studies) and synthesize insights into design decisions
Define and measure UX success metrics (task success, time-on-task, comprehension, trust, adoption, deflection)
Collaborate with ML/engineering to align on model constraints, latency, confidence, and evaluation signals that impact UX
Ensure experiences meet accessibility (WCAG) and enterprise requirements (security, permissions, auditability)
Contribute to and evolve the design system and content standards (UX writing for AI, tone, disclaimers)
Manage the UX team's work and mentor UX designers on the team and elevate design quality via critiques, coaching, and pragmatic craft standards
Qualification
Required
6–10+ years of UX/Product Design experience delivering shipped digital products
Strong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design (enterprise, analytics, or productivity preferred)
Demonstrated ability to design for GenAI/AI features (or adjacent complex systems) with clear rationale
Fluency in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping; strong design critique and storytelling skills
Experience working in cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers, and ideally data/ML partners
Ability to lead junior UX designers and delegate work to balance multiple priorities
Comfort navigating ambiguity, making tradeoffs, and driving alignment with stakeholders
Practical knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design patterns
Preferred
Experience designing LLM-based assistants, agentic workflows, retrieval/search, or evaluation/feedback systems
Experience with Figma Make or other prompt based prototyping tools
Familiarity with trust, safety, and governance UX (human-in-the-loop, audit trails, permissions)
Background in service design or end-to-end journey mapping across channels
Experience with regulated or risk-sensitive environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, public sector)
