Responsibilities

Installation and configuration of various applications and operating systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems, SQL Server, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Information Server, and any offered or customized application software as it relates to solutions on various hardware platforms
Complete on-site installation, design and support of application software and offerings
Assist with Client Services help desk support as needed and any resolution support calls
Test, setup, integration, and troubleshooting as needed of any applicable servers, workstations, switches, routers, firewalls, printer, scanners, backup solutions, wireless connectivity, power management, security and communications devices
Microsoft SQL Administrative tasks
Integrate, service and maintain application databases
Perform software maintenance and upgrades as required
Provide administrative level customer training
Assist in continued product and solutions growth through new product testing, research and development
Identify and recommend improvements and opportunities that are consistent with customer needs
Develop and maintain a professional relationship with clients
Participate as needed in regularly scheduled customer reviews and team meetings
Provide in-depth technical product assistance to customers, project services, client services and sales as needed
Coordinate meetings and installation schedules as needed
Provide on-site support and training when required
Work with case and project management system to track all support cases and implementations
Manage time, resources and project tasks associated with applications and service offerings
Obtain and maintain any necessary vendor or industry certifications
Participation in on-call and remote support rotation for after-hours emergency support
Perform other duties as assigned and/or assumes additional responsibilities as required

Required

A high school diploma
Equivalent industry certification, experience and/or a college degree
Understanding of GBS' culture, products, processes and services
Good communication skills including verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening
Effective people and customer service skills
Basic programming understanding
Strong hardware knowledge with either CompTIA A+ certification and/or equivalent experience
Ability to work within and support a team
Ability to organize work tasks and communicate them to both the customer and the project team
Ability to function individually at a customer installation utilizing a pre-defined scope of work
Certification and/or equivalent experience working with the following: Windows Server operating systems (2003 and later), Server Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare), Server management (OS, Group Policy, Security, Administration), Server migration, Blade, rack and tower servers, SAN Storage, Microsoft Office 365 implementation, migration and maintenance, Microsoft products (SQL, Office, Visio, etc.), Networking (P2P connectivity, LAN, WAN, Cisco/HP router and switch configuration), Healthcare experience (EHR, HIPAA, security risk assessment, intrusion prevention), Documentation (RFP, protocols, strategies, process, procedure, training, etc.)
Ability to travel around 25% (some overnights on occasion)
