Testing and Verification Lead Engineer
Eaton is a global company focused on innovative solutions for a connected home. They are seeking a Testing and Verification Lead Engineer to lead testing, verification, and certification planning for connected home products, while also developing engineering best practices and improving test cycle times.

Responsibilities
Lead testing, verification, and certification planning for component-level and system-level testing of the connected home products throughout the life of the products
Build and maintain reusable, scalable, and automated test benches and lab infrastructure to improve test cycle time and reduce product validation effort
Develop and implement engineering best practices, processes, and procedures for testing across the connected home engineering
Perform engineering, CAD solid modeling, design simulation, product specifications, drawing packages, Bill of Material (BOM), systems development, for product testing and design validation equipment
Define, document, and evolve the test and verification framework to ensure high reliability
Compliance, and customer satisfaction
Drive the UL, CSA, ISTA certification process end-to-end, including identifying applicable standards, define testing requirements, working with internal and external labs to plan testing and coordinate submission and testing cycles
Support continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in test execution and proposing optimizations
Participate in new product development/introduction, innovation, idea creation and implementation, prototype assembly and testing, DFMA assessments, plus other design-to-industrialization activities
Participate in project management and engage with multi-disciplined teams to achieve goals using ProLaunch and other project management tools
Ensure timely completion to project commitment dates
Champion Safety, compliance, and design for testability across connected home engineering team
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in product development of electromechanical products/systems per industry regulatory standards
Five (5) years of experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting engineering systems
Five (5) years of engineering product development experience in electro-mechanical products, IoT connected products or circuit protection products
Five (5) years of experience working in a global business environment with remote teams to deliver the best results while leveraging very diverse experiences within the team
Five (5) years of Voice of the Customer (VOC) experience and Design Thinking experience with output applied to successful product developments
Five (5) years of CAD/SolidWorks/CREO solid modeling experience and the ability to develop 2D drawings and assembly documentation including design intent
