Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve complex SIP registration, call routing, and call quality issues
Troubleshoot firewall/NAT traversal, VLAN, and QoS-related VoIP problems
Perform root cause analysis for recurring VoIP incidents
Handle carrier escalations related to porting, routing, and provisioning
Configure and maintain multi-tenant Netsapiens environments
Manage dial plans, call routing logic, auto attendants, ring groups, and time conditions
Provision endpoints and manage device templates
Maintain accurate tenant configuration documentation
Support technical discovery for new VoIP clients (call flows, porting details, routing logic)
Validate network readiness prior to go-live
Assist with staging and prebuild processes
Ensure deployments are clean and minimize post-install support issues
Maintain detailed configuration records and porting logs
Contribute to internal knowledge base updates and deployment checklists
Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on VoIP engineering experience
Direct administrative experience with Netsapiens strongly preferred
Strong understanding of SIP protocol and advanced VoIP troubleshooting
Experience working in multi-tenant hosted VoIP environments
Solid networking fundamentals (firewalls, NAT, VLANs, QoS)
Experience coordinating and escalating carrier porting issues
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
Preferred
Microsoft Teams Voice experience (Direct Routing or Operator Connect)
Previous MSP experience
Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
Basic automation or scripting experience
